This month we will be talking about Diversity and Inclusion, women in the workplace, and BIPOC women. The format will include some background and statistics, and then questions for open discussion. Let’s start the conversation; we want to hear your voice!

Guest Facilitator: Hallia Baker, CMP

In 2020, Hallia was appointed as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC).  In her new position as CAPC’s DEI officer, she plays a pivotal role in building a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion at CAPC. Hallia ensures that best in class DE&I capabilities influence all strategic and operational leadership decisions which in turn shape and influence CAPC’s work and staff.

Hallia is also a member of Meeting Professionals International Greater New York Chapter (MPIGNY). She has held a seat on the MPIGNY Board of Directors and Executive Board as well as served on numerous committees.  In 2000, MPIGNY presented her with the prestigious Board of Directors Award, and in 2001 and 2020, she was elected Planner of the Year.  Hallia is a graduate of The City College of New York and New York Institute of Technology holding a MA in Creative Writing and BS in Architecture.

As with all Woman to Woman Together events, this is a safe space. We all have different views and opinions; please be respectful to the women in the group.
